I know what it’s like to carry the weight of trauma. To feel unseen, unheard, and disconnected from the very people who were supposed to protect you. My own experience with emotional and physical trauma left me feeling lonely and isolated as a child—feelings that followed me into adulthood, shaping how I saw myself and how I navigated relationships.
I struggled with self-doubt, imposter syndrome, and attachment wounds that made trusting myself and others difficult. No matter how much I achieved, there was always a lingering fear that I wasn’t enough, that I had to prove my worth to be loved, valued, or even just accepted. My relationships felt unsteady, my boundaries uncertain, and deep down, I was waiting for the other shoe to drop.
But I refused to let my past dictate my future.
I committed to the work—learning how my trauma shaped my attachment patterns, recognizing the ways I showed up in relationships, and breaking the cycles that kept me stuck. I did the inner work to trust myself, set boundaries, and step into relationships with confidence—not out of fear or survival.
That journey is why I created Be The Balanced Woman.
I help high-achieving Black women navigate these same struggles—women who are externally successful but internally battling self-doubt, perfectionism, and toxic relationship cycles. Through coaching, courses, and personal development tools, I guide women toward self-trust, emotional clarity, and relationships that feel safe, fulfilling, and aligned.
Because I know firsthand that transformation isn’t about becoming someone new—it’s about finally becoming who you were meant to be.
